YouTube Notifications
Keep your server up to date with your favourite content creators. Choose where posts go and your server instantly follows a curated pool of Rise of Kingdoms creators - toggle off any you don’t want, add channels of your own, and the bot announces new videos, Shorts, and livestreams automatically with an optional role ping so nobody misses a drop.

How it works
Section titled “How it works”Open the YouTube tab on the dashboard, pick the channel announcements should post in, and save - that’s it. Every creator in the pool is on by default, including new ones added later, so your server stays current without touching anything. Toggle off any creators you don’t want. From then on the bot checks for new content every few minutes and posts a link in your channel the moment something drops. Discord unfurls the link into a full video player automatically.
Livestreams get special treatment: the bot announces when a stream actually goes live, not when it gets scheduled, usually within a couple of minutes of the creator hitting the start button.
Ping roles and content types
Section titled “Ping roles and content types”By default everything posts with one optional role ping - pick the role in Notification settings (or leave it on “No ping”). Turn on Differentiate content types to give Videos, Livestreams, and Shorts each their own ping role instead.
Livestream and Shorts announcements can be switched off entirely in either mode, from the dashboard or with /youtube toggle. Videos are always on.
Commands
Section titled “Commands”/youtube settings
Section titled “/youtube settings”Shows the server’s current setup at a glance: the posting channel, role mode, which content types are on, the ping roles, and every creator the server follows. Only you see the reply. Requires Administrator, Manage Server, or the server’s Bot Admin role.
/youtube toggle
Section titled “/youtube toggle”Flip a setting without opening the dashboard. Same permissions as above.
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
setting | Differentiate content types / Livestream announcements / Shorts announcements |
Channel and role pickers still live on the dashboard - they are easier there - but you can manage your channel list and the curated pool right from Discord with the commands below.
/youtube custom
Section titled “/youtube custom”Manage the channels you have added yourself, without opening the dashboard. Same permissions as above.
/youtube custom add- follow a new channel. Paste a channel ID (UC...), an@handle, or a channel URL and the bot looks it up and adds it./youtube custom list- see your channels and whether each is on or off./youtube custom toggle- pause or resume a channel’s announcements without removing it. Pick it from the list./youtube custom remove- stop following a channel for good.
/youtube curated
Section titled “/youtube curated”Turn the curated Rise of Kingdoms creators on or off for your server. Same permissions as above.
/youtube curated list- see every pool creator and whether it is on for your server./youtube curated toggle- turn a creator on or off. Pick it from the list.
Custom channels
Section titled “Custom channels”You can follow up to 10 channels of your own - any YouTube channel, not just Rise of Kingdoms. Add them on the dashboard (paste a channel ID, @handle, or URL, hit Look up, check the preview, then add) or in Discord with /youtube custom add.
Need a break from a channel without losing it? Pause it with the toggle next to it on the dashboard, or with /youtube custom toggle - it stays in your list but stops announcing until you switch it back on.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- New uploads usually announce within a couple of minutes of being published.
- Live announcements land within a couple of minutes of the stream starting.
- The bot needs Send Messages permission in the channel you pick.
- Toggling a creator off (or removing a custom channel) stops their announcements immediately after you save.
