Patron feature

These commands only appear in authorized servers. Run /patreon verify with Manage Server to unlock them, then give Discord a few seconds to register them.

/config is your control panel inside Discord. It posts a single overview of how the bot is set up in your server: which channels each command group is locked to, which features are configured (and where they post), and who can manage the bot. It is also where you assign a Bot Admin role so trusted members can manage the bot without full server admin. For changing individual settings, the command points you to the matching command or the dashboard.

How it works

Run /config and the bot posts an overview embed for the whole server to see. It is read-only except for the Manage settings menu at the bottom, where you set the Bot Admin role, set or clear the server log channel, or open the support-server invite. The overview is grouped into sections:

• Bot Owner, Server Count, Member Count - basic bot info, including how many servers and members the bot serves.
• Current Server - your server’s name and ID.
• Command Channel Settings - every restrictable command group and the channel it is locked to, or a note that no channel is set yet. Manage these with /channel. See Channel Restrictions.
• Other Settings - the configuration status of each feature that posts to a channel, with the channel it uses:
  • Event Calendar
  • Ark of Osiris Signups
  • MGE Signups
  • Ancient Ruins Reminders
  • Altar of Darkness Reminders
  • Each one shows a check if it is set up, or a note that it is not configured. Use that feature’s own setup command (for example /calendar setup) to enable it.
• Bot Admin Role - shows which role, if any, is set as the Bot Admin role.
• Server Log Channel - the channel where the bot posts feature alerts and update notices, or a note that none is set.
• Web Dashboard - a link to manage every setting from your browser.

Where to actually change things

/config shows you the current state; it does not edit most settings directly. Use /channel for channel rules, each feature’s own setup command for that feature, and the dashboard for everything in one place.

The Bot Admin role

Most admin commands require Administrator or Manage Server permissions. The Bot Admin role is a way to grant that same bot-management access to a specific role without handing out real server-admin powers. Members with the Bot Admin role can manage the bot here in Discord and on the dashboard, just like a server admin would.

To set it, open the Manage settings menu under the /config message and choose Set Bot Admin Role. A box appears where you type a role name or role ID. Type none (or clear, remove, off, unset) to remove the current Bot Admin role.

Some powers stay with real admins

The Bot Admin role does not let holders unlock Patron (/patreon verify) or reassign the Bot Admin role itself. Those two actions are deliberately reserved for members with Administrator or Manage Server, so the role cannot be used to escalate access. The @everyone role and integration-managed (bot) roles cannot be chosen.

Server log channel

Set a log channel and the bot posts a tidy notice there whenever something needs your attention or there is news worth knowing. Two kinds of message land here:

• Feature alerts - if a feature has to pause itself because the channel it posts in was deleted (or the bot lost access to it), you get a clear notice naming the feature, why it paused, and how to switch it back on. Your settings are always kept, so turning it back on is quick. No more silently wondering why signups, reminders or announcements stopped.
• Update notices - the occasional short “what’s new” note when a feature ships or changes.

It works for free and Patron servers alike.

To set or change it: open the Manage settings menu under /config, choose Set log channel, and pick a channel. The bot drops a confirmation in that channel (which also checks it can post there). Choose Clear log channel in the same menu to turn the notices off. Patron admins can also set it in one step while unlocking Patron, using the optional log_channel option on /patreon verify.

Pick a quiet staff channel

A private mod or staff channel works best, since these notices are meant for admins, not the whole server.
