How Codex Helper works
Codex Helper is a Rise of Kingdoms bot for Discord. It brings calculators, KvK tools, event signups, reminders, server leaderboards, and a full web dashboard into one bot, so your kingdom can plan and run everything from inside Discord.
New here? Add the bot and turn on Patron in Setup. This page explains the few things that are true across every command.
Everything is a slash command
Section titled “Everything is a slash command”Codex Helper only uses slash commands. Type / in any channel where the bot can post and you will see its commands. There are no prefix commands and the bot does not read your normal messages.
Commands only work inside a server, not in direct messages. Run /help at any time for a short, tier aware list of what is available, with a button to see Patron features.
Free and Patron
Section titled “Free and Patron”Every feature is one of two tiers.
- Free commands work in any server, with no setup beyond adding the bot.
- Patron commands only appear in a server once that server links an active Patreon subscription with
/patreon verify.
Two commands are always available, even in servers that have not unlocked Patron:
/helpshows the command list./patreon verifylinks your Patreon to unlock Patron.
When a server first verifies, the Patron commands are registered just for that server and can take a few seconds to appear. If they are missing right after verifying, wait a moment and reopen Discord.

Permissions, in short
Section titled “Permissions, in short”Codex Helper asks for Administrator when you add it, which keeps setup simple and lets the activity tracker see every channel. See Setup for the details, and the Configuration page for the optional Bot Admin role that lets trusted members help without full admin.
The web dashboard
Section titled “The web dashboard”Some features can also be run from a browser at dashboard.codexhelper.com, no slash commands needed. Server admins and anyone with the Bot Admin role can sign in. The dashboard currently covers activity, Stat Docks, leveling, channel restrictions, and the Patron Ark of Osiris planner.
